Suitable rootfs for NFS export

Hi,

Is it possible to build, or to setup a proper rootfs during the OE
staging phase, suitable for NFS export? If yes, how?

look in tmp/deploy/....../images/beagleboard/ and there should be a
tarball you can use.

Thanks Philip,

Is there a mechanism that would redirect any future recompilation of
packages to the folder (NFS export) obtained from the unpacked
tarball? I don't want to manually pick up the newly compiled binaries
and place them into the NFS share.. Is that possible?

What about IMAGE_KEEPROOTFS? Why does the comment say that it's
unsuitable as NFS export?

Not being an OE export I think the main reason is that the rootfs is made
using fakeroot => All files which are to owned by root or for which you need
root permissions to create (i.e. device nodes) are faked and thereby not
directly usable for a normal NFS share...

One workaround might be to run the NFS server in a fakeroot context as well
- Does anybody know if this is possible/have been tried?
