testsvideo script

Hi,

On a C5 board, with the latest Narcissus-built 2011.03 image, running
the 'testsvideo' script from the validation test scripts tree causes
the dvi to go off and the s-video display to show a signal as if it is
connected.

The script is here:
https://gitorious.org/~joelf/beagleboard-validation/validation-scripts/blobs/master/testsvideo

S-video just switches to displaying a blank screen. Is this the
expected behavior of this script?

We also get an error in dmesg "Manager is already set to tv", but I'm
guessing this is not causing a problem.

Thanks,
Joel

I only ever tested this for framebuffer console output, not X11. I
imagine the X Server will need to be restarted/resized/etc. It is
also possible that the DSS driver has been updated since that script
was written. I mostly used information from
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/DSS2_SYSFS_Examples (which
links to the kernel documentation). It seems there are several new
references around that might give hints.
