There was some discussion at IRC about U-Boot v1 BeagleBoard splashscreen patch [1].
For upstream submission we removed it due to (patch and binary) size.
If you like to have it back, take attachment. It's against recent u-boot-arm/omap3 [2] head (commit 45f296da6be50577d3d81a9b95bce7d9e07fa5b8).
