I need a Logic Level Translator for UART2 to convert 1.8V to 5V, similar to the TXS0102 Beagle uses.
Cant find anything in a DIP package (or something I can get my soldering iron on)
Any ideas?

Could you use a transistor? Take a look at the schematic for the Beagle and look at the devices that are used to drive the LEDS. I think you should be able to find these devcies in a through hole version, although there should be a lot of sources for through hole transistors that will do the job.
