hello “graduation project 010”

What adapter is at version 2.1 that you think you might need?

You can install Ubuntu 10.10 by following the directions at http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardUbuntu

If you run into specific problems, please let us know where you are having trouble and we’ll try to help.

good luck

Jeff Osier-Mixon, Robert Nelson: Many thanks for the reply.

We already have an Ubuntu 9.10 CD at the current time.
The question is : Shall the power adapter be 1.2A/5volt ?Isn't there
any supported version else because we didn't find that adapter.

We already have an Ubuntu 9.10 CD at the current time.

But that's not a good reason for running it on the beagle, as there is
'no' armel cd's... The cd you have is either 32bit or 64bit x86..

greater than or equal to 1.2A @ 5 volts is fine, just as long as it's
good at regulating 5 volts..

Regards,

Your CD unfortunately will not have the bits you need. You’ll have to follow the instructions on http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardUbuntu .

On power, 5V is correct, 1.2A will likely work, but it is not ideal. A 5V/3A supply is recommended, as that will run the board plus whatever you plug into the USB hub. Make sure the power connector is positive on the tip, negative on the barrel. The barrel is 2.1mm ID, 5.5mm OD.
