A while back, there was a thread where some people reported problems with 32G cards on Beagle*s:

This is based on a very small sample size, of course. I don’t think a lot of people out there are using 32G cards with Beagle*s, because of their cost.

Unfortunately, the bottom line is that it’s hard to know in advance whether a particular card will work well on a Beaglebone: trial and error is generally needed.
