USB OTG as host not working with current l-o

USB OTG as host does not work with the current l-o. Does someone has a
hint why - or even a patch?

regards
florian

There are useful USB OTG hints on the BeagleBoard Wiki:

http://elinux.org/BeagleBoard#OTG

and on the BeagleBoard community FAQ:

http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardFAQ#USB_OTG_connection

Hope this helps.

Måns has a patch, but that didn't seem to do the trick for me :frowning:

But your patch does fix device-mode, right?

I presume you have grounded pin 4 (solder it to pin 5 if you never
intend to use OTG as a device), if you are using a mini-B cable, or
that you have found a true mini-A cable (which I cannot seem to
locate). We just had a discussion of this a couple days back.

I'm not using host mode.

But your patch does fix device-mode, right?

Yes.

Could you please name the patch or commit? I could not find the patch in your git-tree (master, patches).

I believe Koen is referring to the "fix something" patch:
http://git.mansr.com/?p=linux-omap;a=commitdiff;h=1e5bc41773bb981b3a89bd762becf98c72be5e4c

I've - carefully -shortened d2 with a blank wire on the backside of
the board. ---> USB running perfectly in host-mode...
(keyboard..mouse...repeater...)
Don't forget to remove the shorting when using client mode...
h.

It definitely "fixes something" because USB OTG in host roll is now working using the current l-o. Thx.
