Using an HD TV as a monitor

I just got my BeagleBoard yesterday. When testing it out, I was able
to get a screen displayed on my HD TV through a regular HDMI cable.
Then it took me a day to get Linux installed (I finally chose Ubuntu
Maverick 10.10).

Now I cannot get the HD TV to work as a monitor. The HD TV says
"Signal not supported."

Any suggestions on what to try?

Thank you.

I guess that ubuntu is using a default dvi resolution that your
TV does not support.

By default that image is using a resolution of "1280x720MR-16@60"

The basicly boot.scr can be created by:

http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardUbuntu#Beagle_xM

and just adjust the resolution parameter to what you need for the tv..

Regards,

I tried changing the command.scr file. But when the BeagleBoard booted
I still got the same result:

[ 2.634490] fbcvt: 1280x720@60: CVT Name - .921M9-R

I'm not sure if I'm following the right procedure.
