The DSS2 video driver in u-boot was working on Beagleboard (not XM)
but it got broken on Beagleboard-XM with DM3730. It was definitely a
problem of clock register settings. I searched hard but I never found
a solution.

It has also miraculously been fixed in u-boot upstream. It's so good
when you have a one-year old bug fixed! Thanks to the person who did
it,
