video capture in OpenCv using BB-xM

Hello everyone,

I have been trying to get face detection working on BB-xM using stream from a USB camera. On connecting the camera to the USB port of beagle, i get the below messages in demsg.

[ 154.344084] usb 1-1: new high speed USB device number 2 using ehci_hcd
[ 154.803114] Linux video capture interface: v2.00
[ 154.824732] uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device USB2.0 Camera (1e4e:0100)
[ 154.863254] uvcvideo: UVC non compliance - GET_DEF(PROBE) not supported. Enabling workaround.
[ 154.866762] input: USB2.0 Camera as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:0b.0/usb1/1-1/1-1:1.0/input/input6
[ 154.868006] usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo
[ 154.868010] USB Video Class driver (v1.1.0)

On beagle, the CaptureFromCAM is able to open the CAM, but, the frame is not captured properly i guess, since, even after a face being in front of the CAM, i get no faces detected result. I tried using the CAM with my laptop, just to confirm. On my laptop, OpenCV can’t even open the CAM. Based on the above demsg, is it correct to conclude that this CAM i can’t use with OpenCV and BB-xM?
