Welcome the Fall 2013 Beagle Call to the group

The purpose of this email is to announce that I’m once again teaching
a 32-bit Embedded Linux class based on the BeagleBone Black [1]. I’m
teaching as open-source as I can and have have posted many of course
materials on eLinux.org [2].

I’m always open to ideas on what topics to include in the class and
suggestions for interesting course projects. For example we are starting
BoneScript today and hope to be writing simple kernel module 5 weeks from
now.

Class, please respond to this posting. Others, please welcome my class.

Awesome! Do you post enough info for people who are not in the class to follow along?

Just checking in. Should be fun!

You are welcome to follow along. Just about everything is in the wiki, or in the class github[1].

I too want to be part of the community and looking forward to learn embedded linux.

Hi,

Is this going to be a mainly BoneScript/Node.js course?

Regards

Jon Leach

No. We’ll touch on those, but we’ll also get into boot sequences, and writing simple (very simple) kernel modules.

I tend to cover a lot of things not very deep.

are you going to be posting lecture videos online?

Sorry, but not videos are being made, so none will be posted.
