It would be REALLY nice to have an up to date image where Analog I/O works. The problem was marked as fixed last week but still no image that would actually result in it being fixed for the user community. Is the lack of activity on this board re the problem indicative of how few of these boards are being sold or that no one uses the Cloud9 IDE? That is actually not a facetious question…I would like to hear from other users about what they use for the physical interface.
While we are waiting for the new image maybe you can try to use the current version of Bonescript:
The function analogRead is defined in https://github.com/jadonk/bonescript/blob/master/node_modules/bonescript/index.js
What I understood: there could be issues when the directory for analog inputs changes. Then you have to find where the folder is located. You can create a similar function to analogRead but using the “good / working” directory for your image.
I believe it is working in the latest image, but I assume you already tried that one.
Unfortunately it is not working in the 0617 image. I know there are work arounds that I can use but since I am evaluating different technologies for a project I want to use the actual end-state rather than a temporary work around.
My understanding is that Jason Kridner has a working fix and that we are just waiting for it to be included in a new image…if that is what is out on GitHub then I will try to get it working as my end state.
But, that is not the latest. The latest is 6_20.
Thanks but I thought that it would be here:
and the latest that I see is the 6/17…?! Am I looking in the wrong place?
Well, it shoulfd be. But I don’t maintain that. My stuff is always up to date.
Thanks! I am downloading it now. I live just outside of London but am somehow in the country side when it comes to my Internet connection so it will be a while :-o
Downloaded, written to SD, flashed, AND IT WORKS! Thanks for pointing me to a place where you keep the images fresh.
Now on with the show.
