Which architecture is the AM335x really? ARMV7 or ARMV7-A?

Should I be using angstrom repositories for armv7 or armv7a for the
beaglebone? I read about v7-A being extensions for very large memory
support. Since the 3358/3359 can only address 1GB I wondered why V7A
makes (or doesn't make) sense.
