Having had a hard-drive failure last week, on a machine with no OS
install media (a "recovery" partition doesn't do much good when the drive
needs to be replaced -- an attempt at drive cloning followed by the repair
CD burned when I received the machine came back with "no valid OS"), I've
had to move to Win10Pro myself.
I can confirm that the drivers will not install on a Win10Pro system.
All I can find in the event viewer is /information/ events in the form
