HI,
is it implicit that the devlopment environment must be linux or can it
be windows too???
what is the minicom eqvt on windows?
I connected the COM port and started teraterm(i have ausb to idc-9
connector)but thescreen comes up blank.
How do I debug from here ?
Any pointers are appreciated

Did you tried Hyperterminal in windows?? It works!
Make sure that you select the correct baud rate and disable the hw flow control.
