xM Evaluation Board and Schematic

Hi,

I'm going to use the xM Beagleboard schematic and create my own board
with peripherals I need for my project and a different board layout
since it will be used in a custom enclosure.

I am going to develop my firmware on the Beagleboard evaluation board
but I have a few concerns:

1- Is the schematic published on the web the exact same schematic used
to created the evaluation boards?

2- Could there be an undocumented change made to the evaluation board
that is not refelected in the schematic?

3- Is there a way to confirm the schematic to the Beagleboard
evaluation board?

I'm just trying to minimize any delays or issues that can occur if
there are any schematic or board mismatches.

Regards,

Hi,

Yes. The schematic aligns with the revsion of the board it is tied to.

2- Could there be an undocumented change made to the evaluation board
that is not refelected in the schematic?

No. Use the latest and you have the latest.

3- Is there a way to confirm the schematic to the Beagleboard
evaluation board?

Other than the confirmation I just gave you, It would be very hard to do with the buried singals in the PCB layers. To ohm out aPCB to verify that it matches ht eschematic. You woulalso have otpoull al parts of the board and measur etheir values. Smae for ICs, in that you would have to verify the part number on the parts agianst the BOM.

I’m just trying to minimize any delays or issues that can occur if
there are any schematic or board mismatches.

As I have said. If you use latest, the schematic matches the PCB.
