xM rev C DVI frequency issues

It seems the beagleboard xM has got some framerate issues when i boot
ubuntu 11.04 (which works great, and a lót faster than angstrom). The
problems only occur on my Eizo EV2333W. An overview:

Works:
Angstrom on Philips monitor
Ubuntu on Philips monitor
Angstrom on EV2333W (!)

Doesnt work:
Ubuntu on EV2333W.

As you can see the problem seems to be the ubuntu loader? And i
sometimes do get the orange screen on the Eizo. I have seen previous
posts about this subject, in which people thought their boards were
defect due to overcharge or pulling out the dvi cable during
operation. Well, i think the issue is software related.

My screen (Eizo) says this:
"Signal Error
DVI
fD: 61.7MHz
fH: 42.9 kHz
fV: 57.8 Hz (<this flickers in red)

What can it be?

does not work under what resolution?

Hi,

FYI, I have an Eizo S2031W display at home and it didn't work with
Ubuntu 11.10 on my BeagleBoard-xM Rev C too. I followed the
instructions here
(http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardUbuntu#Changing_DVI_output_resolution)
and tried different resolutions. I found:

Works:
1024x768MR-16@60

Doesn't work:
1280x720MR-16@60

Thanks,
Tatsuya
