[XM] VGA

I was made aware of VGA on beagle today:

Seems a very nice and inexpensive addition for [XM] (maybe with a
header and a cable instead of a connector)

I think they are different. The beagleboardtoys one is active whereas the
other is a novel R2R ladder. Probally not something to use if you want
consistant gamma on your screen but it is a very impressive and novel way of
doing things.

It is safe to say that this won’t end up on the XM board. We already have the first prootypes of the XM and we have finished up the cleanup on the design. There is no time in the schedule to make any changes on XM.

Ah ok, I was not too sure about the state of the XM board, and I found
it quite a neat trick.

Koen also thanks for the link to the VGA board.
They also are working on an LCD board which they allow you to order
and charge you $ 0 :slight_smile:

I have a concern that al those resisitors could affect the operation of add-on LCD boards.
