Accidentally connected 5V jack with wrong polarity

Hi, I accidentally connected the 5V jack with the outside positive. Now I’ve changed it to the right polarity, but it doesn’t work. Is there any way to repair this or did I just cause permanent damage to the board?

PS: powering the beaglebone via USB does work, though.

Thanks

We can replace the PMIC which should fix the issue. You would need to request an RMA.

Hi Gerald,

thanks for answering so quickly. I already have the serial number, but how do I know which revision is my beaglebone black?

Thanks,
Daniel

If it is the BeagleBone Black it is on the big white label on the expansion header. If it is the BeagleBone, it is on the Ethernet connector.
