Dear all,
With pride I’d like to announce the release of the Amahi Ubuntu edition for ARM.
Amahi Home Server aims to make your home networking simple. We like to call the Amahi servers HDAs, for “Home Digital Assistants.” Each HDA delivers all the functionality you would want in a home server, while being as easy to use as a web browser.
More detailed info on Amahi can be found on http://www.amahi.org
Information on the Ubuntu release can be found at http://blog.amahi.org/2012/07/03/its-independence-day-for-amahi-ubuntu-edition-now-live/’
In order to get this running on panda or beagle you’ll need to install Ubuntu 12.04 (armhf). It is strongly suggested to install on a USB hard disk as SD cards will give a severe performance hit.
Thanks to the Amahi team, all testers and everyone else who contributed to make this happen.
Special thanks go to Jayabharath for his support.
I hope you have fun with it.
If there are issues feel free to join us in #amahi or #amahi-debian on freenode or use our mailing list or forum.
Enjoy!
