BBB Board not turning ON using 5V-2A DC power supply.

Hello All,

Since I bought a BBB board I was using it using USB power supply. Today I tried to connect the external power supply of 5V 2A ratings.
And board is not turning ON. Power LED is also not turning on.
Where as if I will connect USB supply, board will turn ON and I can login over SSH connection.

Please give the hints to start with debugging.

You mean the board doesn't have a 5 cents reverse polarity protection diode?:hushed:
