BBB CPU temperature reading using built-in sensor

Based on my research, I believe that it is possible to get a temperature reading from the built-in sensor[1]. But I also read that the temperature reading obtained will be extremely unreliable. I would like to confirm that effort to get readings from the builtin sensor wont be worth it as the reading is unreliable even in BBB Industrial. Thanks.

It's a silicon/ip issue, the "BBB Industrial" doesn't change anything
regarding the temp sensor.

Hi Robert,

Just in case someone is fully aware that the sensor isn’t reliable would it be still possible to enable it ? Is there a patch somewhere to do that ?

Xav

PS: thanks for your work on the BBB
