BBB hang while powerup when using with “GEN4-4DCAPE-70CT” cape

Dear Developers,

I have bought Beaglebone black rev C (PCB rev B6) and flashed “bone-debian-9.3-lxqt-armhf-2018-01-28-4gb.img” in emmc1 on BBB and emmc0 SD card.

After I have connected “GEN4-4DCAPE-70CT” LCD with BeagleBone Black and did power cycle (using powerdown button on BBB or using shutdown -h now command ) sometime (once per 10 time) I get garbage value from debug port of BBB just before starting of Kernel and complete system hang up.

Using image bone-debian-9.5-lxqt-armhf-2018-10-07-4gb.img has solved this problem. Thank you very much for your help. Can you please also inform me, why exactly sometime I was getting problem with “bone-debian-9.3-lxqt-armhf-2018-01-28-4gb.img”.

Dear Mr Nelson,

Today I have faced same problem that when I boot BBB using SD card, I get garbage value on serial port and operating system in BBB hangs. Presently I am using bone-debian-9.5-lxqt-armhf-2018-10-07-4gb.img (latest) to work with BBB.

Kindly inform me how can I find out main cause of problem and how can I fix it.
