BBB HDMI output quits after startup

Forgive me if this is a repeat.

I just flashed the latest image: BBB-eMMC-flasher-2013.06.20.img

Prior to flashing this, everything was working great over HDMI, but i didn’t pay attention to the kernel date that was running (board is version A5B)

Now, the video is definitely still working, I get the Beaglebone banner starting up in beautiful HD. Once the banner disappears, shows over. No more signal is ever sent over HDMI.

For completeness, the EDID output is shown below. It looks fine to me. It seems like there is probably just a software switch that is not starting the window manager, but I don’t know where to look for that.

Thanks for any input.

I should also add that the BBB is running and behaving normally when I ssh to it.

You are correct. We have a SW update in the works. As soon as the patch is accepted upstream, we will get an SW update out. This operation you are seeing is the way it currently works.
