[beagleboard] 2 qustions about Beagleboard-xm A2 version over-voltage protection

Sometimes a little voltage can bleed through momentarily and damage the FET that controls the voltage connection to the USB port. That is the reason for the error. Replacing the part should fix has fixed that issue. As to other damage there is no way you can test the board and be 100% confident that no other damage has occurred. But, if no other errors are indicated and the board functions normally otherwise, then it should be OK.

It helps and if the rail is loaded, say there are several devices on plugged in at the time to the connectors, that can help as well do to the extra loads.
