Right. But still it's strange for a private person to answer the
questions about which product will use it and for what particular use
it is intended. I wish I know, only my fantasy will tell. But yet I'm
expected to write something reasonable
I'm wondering how many militaries/terrorists will answer "Yes, I'm
going to control a nuclear weapon with the BeagleBoard"....
You must answer a similar set of illogical questions if you want to
download Oracle products: it will be nice to know how many terrorists
they caught with that questionnaire....
Just could not resist I believe that the world will not die from
Armageddon, but people slowly become extinct from brain damage And
the export control is only a beginning, now I'm coming close to the
real fun of customs fees and VAT! Oh, humanity
b) if said terrorist manages to blow up something with the BB,
they can put him in jail because he lied in the questionnaire
One would think that the âlied in a questionarieâ argument will be the last entry in the list of things that will put him in jail, probably the âBLOW UP SOMETHINGâ entry being the first in the list
Actually the questionarie is not for filtering or exposing the bad guys, its just a non sense way of avoiding being responsable with the end use of the product, and a way to comply with the non sense laws
A checkbox in the order page with âI Agree to not use this product(s) in any nuclear weapon even ifI have a Teller-Ulam design based apartus ready to be deployedâ probably will have the same purpose and will be less problematic to real customers (bad guys with explosive devices will click that checkbox as well, or lie in the questionarie either way)

I'm sure that he was sarcastic with a smile just missing.

Question: How many BBs do you need to blow something up?
Answer: We aren't sure, but as you can easily see from the name of the
product it's a dual purpose device, i.e. Beagle Board = Bunker
Buster :)))
I tried to order a BeagleBoard XM from DigiKey and had to answer the
questionarie. After that Digi Key returned and apologized for not
beeing able to export the BB xm outside U.S. based on the encryption
review from the US Department of Commerce according to Stephanie
Anderson at DigiKey.
I wonder what encryption is included with the BB XM ? Is it possible
to remove that and ship the board without it?
Not only convincing Digikey that I don't want to to build a weapon of
mass destruction out of the beagle, I also had to jump through loops to
get that board to germany. I had to endure a whole day at the german
toll office. They've never seen such a thing, so it was suspicious. Even
the RS232 and Usb-RS232 dongle that I ordered with the board was suspicious.
My advice: Get your board from EBV Electronics. They sell a nice kit
including the Beagle (different color, same thing). You get all the
cables that you need anyway and a nice set of useful peripherals. It
costs little more, but it is well worth it.
Bonus: You'll order from inside the EU, so you don't have to endure the
US export paranoia..

Dude! I know your pain..

I ordered BBs from digikey to germany twice, there was no issue
whatsoever except that I had to pay import tax and VAT but that
was expected. (order done via digikey.de, not digikey.com)

hi,
how did you obtain the kernel source code for this DEV3530..
How do we write modules for a board?
where do we compile it?
is DeV3530 same as omap3evm?
