[beagleboard] Building the 3.8 Kernel - USB port not recognized

Hi,

I did the deploy of Kernel 3.8 (from
GitHub - RobertCNelson/linux-dev) on my beaglebone. It worked but
the USB port was not recognized.

try... "lsusb"

Yeah, it's still hit and miss... Not really ready for mass usage yet..
Although some users have had luck with usb devices tat sucked with
v3.2.x on the bone..

Previously, I tested the stable kernel
(GitHub - RobertCNelson/stable-kernel) and it did worked fine.

Very weird, as i have the config setup to use the BeagleBoard's musb
driver over the BeagleBone's in that repo..

Regards,

lsbus gave me “unable to initialize libusb: -99”

Best regards, Pedro

lsbus gave me "unable to initialize libusb: -99"

You were running as root user, correct?
