Nothing in the design prevents it. You need to update the MLO and UBoot, and tweak the Android image to run from eMMC and at 1GHZ.

I've had it running on the regular beagle bone successfully just by
downloading the image and writing it to an sd card. ran a number of
apps just fine. I'f you want it to run on the beagle bone black,
there may be some issues that need tweaked tn the present image, but
I'd expect that those interested in android on beagle will address
those issues as the bone black boards become more widely distributed.

I know they have it running at TI. I m not sure which kernel it is based on, but it it running. I also do not know when it will be made available. There is nothing overly complicated to get it running. DDR3 is th eonly real change, Of course you have more memory, faster memory, and more processor speed, but i have yet to see apiece of SW that can’t handle that.

Don’t forget to change the setting on LDO3 as well. Handle the new board ID and you are pretty much there, depending on your cape usage of eMMC or LCD pins.
