I'm trying to get the picture for the DSP land on BeagleBoard because
is a bit messy...
I'm looking for a platform were I can play videos using the DSP and TI
codecs. I have to use the ffmpeg libs to do the video playing and I
would like to patch the ffplay and ffmpeg library to do that.
Before that, I need an environment where the DSP is working. I've seen
the koen demo image and is really what I need, with the PowerVR sgx
drivers working, the DSP working through dsp-link, and dsp-link is
well supported by the Angstrom distribution... but there is another
choice, the dsp-bridge. I have a working kernel with dsp-bridge and
PowerVR sgx drivers and after a lot of troubles I've been able to play
some very specific videos through gstreamer too.
But where do you recommend me to invest my little developing time in
order to get some ffmpeg video player based? What do you think it will
be more difficult to develop and test?
