[beagleboard] help request about /dev/videoX

Hi all,

I've try to built an uImage for it based on the Git repository of OMAP Linux
kernel contains Beagle support. Get it by:

1. git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap-2.6.git
2. git clone git://labs.embinux.org/linux-omap-2.6
3. git clone git://www.sakoman.net/git/linux-omap-2.6.git

But The beagleboard doesn't support v4l2 display interface(/dev/video1, /dev/video2), I don't know why?
So could you please help us.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Thanks & Best Regards,
George.Qiao

Some time back Vaibhav had provided few patches to get V4L2 support on
top of Tomi's DSS2 patches, I think we are waiting for Tomi's patches
to get in before we get the V4L accepted.

You can find the V4L patches here,

Many thanks for your response.

And which Git repository is better for this patch?

git clone git://www.sakoman.net/git/linux-omap-dss

Thanks & Best Regards,

I think there were some issues with this not getting applied straight
due to ISP dependencies. Koen was trying to get a latest updated patch
from Vaibhav.

I think you can try with Sakoman's tree or with
http://www.beagleboard.org/gitweb/?p=linux-2.6.git;a=shortlog;h=2.6.28-oe-r12
