Hi everybody…
I am new to beagleboard. And trying to use the DSP part.
Can anybody please explain me why we make different types of image
using bitbake commands and cant we get already made images online
without getting into trouble of bitbake and open embedded ???
I have been trying to use bitbake for last 1 week,for the ti-codec-
engine for dsp part but every time it gives some error.
May be my question does not seem reasonable to few but pardon me as i
am new and confused.

Because OE supports dozens of targets, and the BB is just one of them.

Unless you're developing OE itself you're better off just using a
narcissus image, it can be configured with sdk's for the dsp, sgx,
etc.
