They may be different, but they are close enough and the kernel takes
care of the differences, so yes, the BB should work, but i doubt the
original BB is tested by the Fedora team.. (aka the musb/otg port
might not be setup correctly out of the box with their kernel
.config..)

fyi - If your going to use the BB on a network, after you add a
usb-hub and usb-network controller for the BB, the BBxM ends up
cheaper..

Its not the cost difference between the BBs that concern me. I am hoping the original BB does not have an UUID in its processor. The BB xM is a DMSoC so most likely the entertainment industry required an UUID to grant video codecs. DM means digital media.
