British suppliers now offer the XM - uk.digikey.com at £150 including
VAT and Farnell at £138 including VAT both offering free shipping
within Britain (not sure about Ireland). Shipping expected after
October 8th.
Any hope for Africa?

Well, you need to see what other distributors may do better. DHL is better for shipping international than FEDEX. Where exactly are you located?
