BeagleBoard-xm kernel panic

Hello -

When booting the BeagleBoard-xm for the first time, I received a message that stated:

Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt

Angstrom was never booted.

The board is being powered through the usb port and I am communicating with it through the serial port using TeraTerm.

Why would I be receiving a kernel panic and how can I resolve this issue?

Thanks,
Katelyn

Use the 5volt DC jack.. (the otg can't provide enough current on the
current xM's..)
