Beaglebone black never gets out of sleep mode using rtcwake

My setting:

Problem:

I can successfully put the Beaglebone Black in sleep mode using rtcwake -m mem -s 10
But it never resumes from the sleep state, no matter what I do.

Anyone any idea ? I’m struggling with this for days now.

Jonas

Are you sure it's even in sleep mode? (power/current wise?) as only
ti's v3.12.x bsp will 'sleep'..

Regards,

It is consuming 1 Watt. when I put it in sleep mode. So I guess that is sleep mode ?

Hi Robert

How can it not be in sleep mode ? It is completely frozen and consumes 1W. I just cannot wake it with the alarm.

Yeap, that's not sleep, that's hung mode..

Looking at my old testing notes. The BBB with ti's v3.12.x bsp kernel

(Hdmi/usb disconnected)

On: 5v 0.29A
Sleep/Suspend: 5v 0.04A

Regards,

Thanks for answering.

How can I fix this ? Why is mine not going into sleep mode ? and why is it not waking up ? any idea?

Cheers

Jonas

Because, i haven't finished porting the massive power management
patchset from TI's v3.12 bsp to a mainline kernel.

Regards,

Ah ok. So it is simply not yet supported ?
