we just got our first Rev D BBB’s and i stumbled upon the PCN that says the “new” emmc chip is now EOL. is there a plan to do a last time buy or work on a replacement part?

Many eMMC’s have gone EOL over the years during the production of BeagleBone Black’s..

yeah, we’ve had mixed levels of heartburn with that. some work with no changes, some force updates for us. i just wanted to know if this specific EOL was on the team’s radar and if there was a plan underway. the recommended replacement moves from 16GB to 64GB, and i assume has a price increase along with it and i wasn’t sure if there was a more preferred alternative even if not the manufacturer recommended one.
