Good morning,
I’m trying to update to start beagleBone black from SD card, concerning this I’ve installed on the SD CARD
Debian 9.1 2017-08-31 4GB SD LXQT image from http://beagleboard.org/latest-images
I’ve formatted the SD-CARD with HPUSBDisk-2.2.3.exe
and written the image with Win32DiskImager
I’ve followed the procedure:
-
remove power and/or usb connection
-
insert the SD CARD
-
Hold S2 button and insert power plug
the result is that the four led never flash as described, on the debug connector I can see a long long long sequence of “C” characters.
It seems to me that the sd-card reader is broken, how can I check this?
I’ve no problem when starting from eMMC but I want to change the image on the eMMC and it seems not possible.
Thanks
Antonio
Retry with etcher.io, we don't recommend Win32DiskImage anymore...
https://etcher.io/
Regards,
the problem was due to a 128GByte micro SD giving me problems also with etcher,
using a samsung 32GByte micro SD and Etcher now I can program correctly the sd card and is recognized during standard boot
Thanks,
Now I'll try finally to start the lcd 4.3 cape from waveshare.

etcher,
128GByte micro SD = SDXC, the Beagle's only support SD/SDHC (up to
32GB), "some" 64GB (SDXC) SanDisk microSD cards will work as they seem
to support the SDHC interface in a backwards compatibility...

Regards,
I don't know why but it seems that I can see just half of the screen using the LCD cape and
Debian-sdcard-beaglebone-2015.02.27-LCD-cape-LCD4.3-v2.0
there is a procedure to follow to have this cape correctly working?
Thanks again
Antonio
