Beaglebone blue detecting as beaglebone black

Hi,

i have desigen a custom beaglebone blue with no major changes in hardware, i can say the board is working but when i check the proc/device-tree/model file it reads “TI AM335x BeagleBone Black”.
when run an test code rc_test_drives (https://github.com/beagleboard/librobotcontrol/blob/master/examples/src/rc_test_drivers.c) the device is recognised as Beagle bone blue .

i thought it was due to device ID in EEPROM , upon checkeng the device id on Both beaglebone blue and Beaglebone black the device id is “BNLT”.

i want my custom beaglebone blue to be detected as beaglebone blue instead of beaglebone black.
Can anyone assist me with the same.
