Beaglebone: where is /etc/inittab

Hi,

I want to add start up scripts to my Beaglebone but I can not find /etc/inittab.
I am using the image : Angstrom-Cloud9-IDE-GNOME-eglibc-ipk-v2012.05-beaglebone-2012.06.18.img.xz

How can i add startup scripts? I want to apply this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10282981/automatic-login-on-angstrom-linux
but I can not find /etc/inittab.

Please help.

Reagards

Many (most?) distributions are no longer using inittab, but upstart or some other mechanism. I don’t know about angstrom specifically, but I imagine it is one that no longer uses /etc/inittab.

I haven't used Angstrom for a long time but as I remember it's in /etc/network.

Sid.

take a look at systemd. most distros are moving away from inittab.

I have solved it with systemd

Thank you all.
