Hello, I’m trying to modify kernel version 5.10.168-ti-r71 to enable OMAP driver instead of the 8250 driver so I can use ttyO* ports instead of ttyS* that comes with the existing kernel. I follow the download/compile/install steps outlined here: The Kernel — BeagleBoard Documentation while adding 2 changes to the .config file (outlined below) during compilation. When I boot the BeagleBone using this new image, it hangs at “Starting Kernel …”
Any help getting this to boot would be greatly appreciated.
