BeaglePlay Flashing

I just got a beagle play.

I booted it up, and was trying to flash a new OS to it with the bb-imager utility installed via flatpak.

While I was debugging, I ran

sudo enable-beagle-flasher

sudo reboot

Upon rebooting my device. I got a kernel panic:

Obviously this is trying to do something that I wasn’t ready for and am in a bad state. How can I get out of this?

Some steps I’ve taken:

  • flashed every debian image from bb-imager and loaded with and without pressing the user button before power on (apparently to boot from microsd card instead of emmc)

It seems like to me I’ve bricked my board

I’d like any help or guidance! I’m open to trying out things to help debug.

Thanks!

On the BeaglePlay, thru the Serial Debug port, on bootup, select the boot menu option to “flash” the eMMC.

Please test with this image:

and please share the serial log, so we can the full log of what’s failing..
