@m.zakrzewski @RobertCNelson
here’s my conclusion,
all class 10 cards failed for one reason or another (16G and/or 32G size)
Verbatim
Sandisk Ultra and Ultra Plus
Microcenter
Samsung
Unirex
only Kingston class 4 16G cards worked, other sizes may also work, i only have 16G of this brand.
@amf99 So it works? Thank you for confirming.
For me two Goodram sd cards worked, one old 4GB and one 256GB (P/N IR-M2AA-2560R12), and one SanDisk Ultra did not work.
yup, it works

@m.zakrzewski
can you provide what class the Goodram and 4GB cards are?
the class is the speed grade, if I understand the meaning correctly.
Hi @amf99, the 4GB Goodram is C4 SDHC, the 256GB Goodram is UHS-I U3, C10, A2 and V30. So I dont think the speed is the issue here.
please remember, we are using a hacked together vendor’s version of u-boot from a long time ago… Till we get mainline U-Boot working, i believe this issue will remain…
Regards,
2 posts were split to a new topic: BeagleV-Fire microSD
You described booting form SD card. How does the Boot ROM identify the location of U-Boot?
Is there a specific partition type GUID? Or a fixed location?
Best regards
