BeagleV-Fire with HDMI cape?

Has anyone tried the BeagleV-Fire with the Seeed HDMI cape? I would like to run Linux with a GUI on the Fire (don’t need real high resolution, SVGA resolution would be fine) and was wondering if this worked.

Right now the best option is tightvnc/etc… With no built-in video out hardware, you’ll either need to use vhdl/verlog and design a display. Or also look at spi based displays…

Regards,

I have seen somebody experienced in Verilog use that cape on the BeagleV-Fire. The cape does work with the BeagleV-Fire with some gateware driving it. It might even be you

and forgot there is one user on discord hacking on a lcd display driver…

at some point we should have a user submitted ‘tiny display’…
