I have a reflow oven, I just haven’t done anything with connectors like these so I don’t know if that will work.

I have put the Kicad files on my website if you feel like looking at them. I haven’t put the ones that use the connectors yet as I am waiting for my connectors.

I have 3 designs, one that uses both CSI connectors and 2 that don’t so I have one board for 1 can, one for 2 can and one for 3 can. On the one with 1 and the one with 3 can I added a JST connector so if you feel like you need another I2C port that would be available there.

Note that the designs were done with Kicad 8. Kicad changes things all the time so you cannot load these with older versions of Kicad. I have the schematic and pcboard. If I find issues when I test the boards I will update the files.

I am retired so if anyone feels that this is worth something for them they should make a donation with paypal.

microscope and solder wick, i’ve done 0.5mm, painfull, but can be done.

Yes, running a big blob of solder along the line of pins is much faster so less heat buildup. Solder wick will often be needed, depending on the connector or chip, but it’s messy.

Oh, and clean solder is essential - solder oxidizes very quickly on the iron and then forms bridges much more easily.

A bit late to chime in but 0.5mm pitch 22pin breakout is what you’re after if you want to dig at individual CSI pins.

Edit - @MichaelC is one step ahead and already using it looks like. I’ll leave this here just so it’s visible.
