Belkin Wireless USB Adapter - Wireless scan issue

Hi
I’ve connected a USB wireless adapter to the BeagleBoard (BB) using a Mini-A cable. I’m running the Angstrom demo and I’ve configured the BB to connect to my home wireless during power ON. I have a client running in my BB that scans the wireless network and reports to me when requested. Scan works some times but mostly the wireless adapter loses power when a channel scan is done and the whole system hangs. Any thoughts on why this is happening? Is this an issue related to power output from the USB port? If it is, any changes being done in the next rev of the board to enhance the power output from the USB?
Any pointers towards resolving this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

The USB port is an OTG port and it only provides 100mA of power. It cannot be enhanced and still be an OTG port. The Rev C2 board will have a fullpowered USB host capable of the 500mA.

Thanks. When is the Rev C2 board available for purchase from DigiKey?

Saravanan.

Late March or early April.

Just use a powered usb hub between beagle and your belkin adapter.
