Booting Issue

Hi Community,

I am new to beaglebone blue, I have installed this image am335x-eMMC-flasher-debian-11.7-iot-armhf-2023-09-02-4gb.img.xz I booted first time pressing the SD button but I couldn’t see beaglebone on my linux pc.

The second boot I removed the SD-card and the beaglebone popped up to the pc.

My question here I want to know the booting process for beaglebone. Also my observation is that the beaglebone uses the sdcard for first time then its neglected is that right, if yes how to use the SD-card as external storage and if not how to boot from the sdcard correctly?

That image will ‘flash’ the eMMC on first bootup… It should startup and you’ll see a cyclon led pattern, and it should shutdown within 10 minutes…

Thanks a lot for your support, but how to add sd card as external storage.

Just re-format it. Then it load it normally.
