Building ti-codec-engine for a different version and beanch

Hi,

I see that the recipe for ti-codec-engine uses codec-engine tarball
version 2.25.

Whereas an excellent article on setting up Codec Engine on Beagleboard
mentions that we download the older versions of the DSPlink, C6x
compiler etc. :
http://ossie.wireless.vt.edu/trac/wiki/BeagleBoard_CodecEngine

Now, since as part of the setup process we are supposed to point to
the deployed directories of DSPbios, c6x compiler , etc. in the ti-
paths.inc file (under the ti recipes), will "bitbake ti-codec-engine"
for the current ti-codec-engine recipe work without adding these
versions ?
And if I have to download these binaries first, should I download the
latest binaries or work with the older versions mentioned in the
tutorial ?

Why would you want to use different versions as angstrom is using?

regards,

Koen

This page badly needs updating.
