Cannot find Debian Jessie 8.9 version for BeagleBone Black Rev C

Hi experts,

I was using the BeagleBone Black Rev C with a DLPDLCR2000EVM by Texas Instruments.

I was following the guide from this link: https://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp-products-group/dlp/f/dlp-products-forum/621466/faq-dlpdlcr2000evm-quick-start-tutorial

and since there were users with issues using latest debian versions such as 9.1, I wanted to use debian 8.9 as mentioned here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp-products-group/dlp/f/dlp-products-forum/706215/dlpdlcr2000evm-quick-start-tutorial

The link in the guide doesn’t work anymore. And I am unable to find the specific image file anywhere on the internet. Could you please provide the link to that specific image file, “BBB-blank-debian-8.9-lxqt-4gb-armhf-2017-08-01-4gb.img”? Also I want the TI’s EVM’s drivers pre installed in the image and the cape overlay customization as needed for my requirements.

I have tried communicating with TI’s experts on their forum too, here is a link to the discussion: DLPDLCR2000EVM: Could Not Find Debian Jessie 8.9 image file - DLP products forum - DLP®︎ products - TI E2E support forums

They are also experiencing the same issue as me and have advised me to ask for software support here.

Regards,
Akshdeep

I’m also searching for debian 8.8 IoT

No, I require that specific version for the other device that I am using. However, if you or anyone is aware of Cape Overlay Customization, I could use your help.
With Cape Overlay Customization I will be able to use any Debian version. I have the link to that here: [FAQ] DLPDLCR2000EVM: BBB Cape Overlay Customization - DLP products forum - DLP®︎ products - TI E2E support forums

I have the .dts and .dump files downloaded, but for the installation I do not understand the instructions how to do that. if anyone can give me a step-by-step procedure for that, I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks

Hi Akshdeep, I’m having the same problem as you, have you figured out a way to fix this?
