Contributor Introduction: Hardware & KiCad PCB Design for Beagle-Tester Cape

Hi @jkridner and mentors,

I’ve been reviewing the beagle-tester discussions and the need for a dedicated multi-socket mikroBUS testbed / Cape.

To show my commitment and how I work in KiCad, I just published a reference design to my GitHub repository: GitHub - 8aChristian/-Super-Mikrobus-Cape-Testbed · GitHub

It includes schematic capture, complete PCB layout, 3D models, and the manufacturing package.

I want to take on the hardware design of the Super MikroBUS Cape / testbed board for the upcoming cycle. @jkridner, could you point me to your current pinout mapping or netlist notes so I can start drafting the preliminary KiCad schematics and socket allocations right away?

Thanks!

The multi-socket angle is the bit that makes this feel like a proper tester cape rather than just another click board carrier. A shared pinout doc would save a lot of schematic churn later.

Multi-socket routing can get crowded fast, especially once power and isolation choices enter the picture. Having that mapping nailed down early keeps the cape from becoming a connector puzzle.
