Just got my BBB in and am using it with Debian. I’m having issues with the USB port on the BBB, nothing I plug into it seems to get power. I’m using a 5V 2.5A adapter, I’ve also tried with a powered USB hub. Is the USB port broken or am I overseeing something?

I don’t know if it is broken or not. Did it work with the default image that came with the board? I would try it with a USB dongle or mouse first. Some HUBS seem to have issues, particularly power HUBs which need to have the power for the HUB and the BBB to be plugged into the same power strip.
